Peoria and Gilbert are fastest growing cities

According to the most recent US Census statistics, Peoria ranked 7th and Gilbert ranked 5th among the fastest growing U.S. cities with more than 100,000 people.

While we’re all accustomed to seeing results like this (since all parts of Maricopa County have been ranked in one category or another), it’s still great news for the area as a whole. More growth means more economic development, and if it’s well managed growth it will continue to increase the overall desirability of the area. This creates a cycle of continued growth, which is what helps to make the Greater Phoenix area a destination for people from across the country.

The bad news is that when you go to a DBacks game, a good portion of the fans are cheering for their original “home team”. The good news is that our real estate market will continue to be very strong over the long term, which adds to the belief that our current over-supply of homes on the market is a temporary situation.
