Recycle When You Remodel

I read Travis Schnepp of the Focused on Phoenix blog from time to time. He had a great recent post about Stardust Building Supplies. These folks help you recycle when you remodel your home. They’ll literally come to your house and take everything you’re throwing away, even including the kitchen sink. Then they refurbish the stuff, and sell it at a steep discount to families in need.

Way better than just dumping it all in the landfill. Check ‘em out!

Reclaimed Wood Furniture May 10, 2008 at 1:55 pm

A great example of using recyled wood is a company we just started working with that makes contemporary and European inspired furniture from recycled wood up to 200 years old. I believe in the cause of using rather than throwing away but I may have bit off more than I can chew? this is an entirely new market for us and I am having problems identifying wholesalers or retail organization buyers for this client. If anyone is aware of any centralized sites where sustainable vendors have a forum or trade board, please contact me. Thanks for any assistance! Ron Coble
