My agent put a house that I renovated in the MLS last week. I just checked the listing yesterday and the old picture of the house was displayed. It was a picture of the house before we renovated it. Surely no one would have wanted to look at the house. If I had not checked the listing, the property would have stayed on the market 360+ days. Good advice as this same incident just happed to me. The property address was 2679 xyz, and the home's square footage was 2879. I goofed and input the square footage as 2679. Fortunately I had my sellers proof the mls printout and they caught the error, so we were able to fix it within 12 hours of being on the market.. I know people who have lost a listing because the zip code was in wrong, and the seller was upset they couldn't find their listing, so they canceled and re-listed with someone else. The information on our MLS is only as good as the person entering it. Give the seller the listing, and have them check it - great advice. You are right, who knows a sellers home better.
