Remember back on October 10, 2008 when I blogged that Senator John McCain’s former Phoenix home was going on the auction block?
It didn’t sell.
The home where John and Cindy McCain raised their children, on Central Avenue in suburban Phoenix, is back up for sale. This time it’s a For Sale By Owner (FSBO, pronounced fizz-boe).
Apparently the October 25, 2008 auction (advertised as having “no minimum bid”) didn’t satisfy the current owner, who bought in 2006 for $3,200,000. The owner dropped the MLS-advertised price on November 5, 2008 from $12 million to $10 million. By mid-December, the owner had a FSBO sign in the front yard. It’s still there.
Interested in a 9 bedroom, 8 bath McMansion? It’s got 14,000 square feet of livable space, expansive private grounds, and a 7 car garage worthy of Secret Service vehicles.
Does that description float your boat? How ‘bout these snaps?
If this is your style and you’ve got a couple million laying about, shoot me an email or give me a call. Wouldn’t it be fun to go see the home where the McCains raised their kids? I’m gonna dig out my old Rollerblades and have a go at that garage floor!

Heather –
This home is surely “my style”, unfortunately I just don’t happen to have any extra “millions” lying around in my wallet!! How about that “kitchen”!!
Heather, I’m drooling on the garage floor. I could see a fleet of cars in there. That’s a great garage!
